Zentropy Partners has hired Alan McCulloch, the former managing
director of i-Level, to fill the role of the client services
director.
McCulloch, the founder of Saatchi & Saatchi Vision and the chairman of
the IPA digital marketing group, left i-Level unexpectedly in June after
turning down an international role because of personal reasons.
In addition to his client-services role at Zentropy, McCulloch will be
given the task to develop the agency's media planning and buying, after
last year's Unilever win gave the agency a significant account in that
area.
McCulloch started his new role at Zentropy this week after working on a
freelance basis for the agency during the past month.
"Our aim is to strengthen our already strong digital marketing
capabilities and extend media to other areas of the operation,"
Zentropy's managing director, Alastair Duncan, said. "We want more
senior people around the place and Alan is one of the original
digerati."
McCulloch worked at both WCRS and FCB before establishing the IT
marketing consultancy and then launching Vision at Saatchis in 1996. He
spent four years with the agency before quitting for i-Level in February
2000.
"Since 1995 I've come across plenty of people who failed to deliver in
new media through overpromising," McCulloch said.
"I'm really happy to be at an agency where I can talk to clients with
confidence that the set-up can deliver."
