ZenithOptimedia wins Fox US account

ZenithOptimedia has scooped the $1.1bn media planning and buying account for Twentieth Century Fox in the US.

The international portion of the account has not yet been awarded, but it looks likely this will go to Publicis as the entertainment company has previously expressed a wish to have one company do both.
Incumbent Starcom lost the account when Fox announced its review last September.
ZenithOptimedia was competing with WPP-owned MindShare and Aegis-owned Vizeum, which are also in the running for the international account.
The review was handled by search consultancy Select Resources International.
