James will eventually head up a team of five, pending the appointment of three more staff in the coming months. The team will be responsible for providing analysis of all direct marketing projects across Zalpha's client base.
Zalpha's clients include internet bank Cahoot, Cancer Research UK and its latest business win, BT's business-to-business task.
The analytics team will also implement the company's measurement and evaluation of marketing activity and its bespoke return on marketing investment service, all of which will be overseen by James.
James was at Carlson Marketing for four-and-a-half years, where he was head of data planning. He has worked across clients including Comet, Guinness, Shell and British Gas.
