Yorkshire Tea has called a review of its creative account.
The incumbent, the Manchester-based agency Love Creative, has handled the business since 2005. The tea brand, owned by Taylors of Harrogate, includes Yorkshire Tea, Yorkshire Gold and Yorkshire Tea for Hard Water.
In December, Taylors of Harrogate also appointed Love to handle a national campaign for its lifestyle roast and ground coffee range, following a four-way pitch.
The agency has also designed a website for the company's Trees for Life initiative, which plants trees in the UK and developing countries.
A spokesman for Yorkshire Tea confirmed that it is in early-stage discussions with a number of undisclosed advertising agencies.
He added: "We are reviewing the Yorkshire Tea brand to see who can deliver the best creative work to take us forward as a business. We want to get a better understanding of the range of agencies. It's about getting out there, looking at agencies' credentials and getting a feel for whether they would like to work for us or what they could offer our business."
The review does not affect the family run business' media arrangements, which are handled by MediaCom North.
Taylors of Harrogate, part of Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate, is the UK's fourth-largest tea and coffee manufacturer.
