Yell.com relaunches with new function

Online directory Yell.com has relaunched its site, adding a new local search function that allows users to search by brand and bring up listings of local stores where they can purchase the product.

The search will link to Yell.com's new shopping and price comparison service. The site has also added a dedicated food and drink channel, featuring supplier listings and recipes from chefs, including Delia Smith.

Yell.com has developed a new thesaurus of 50,000 search terms for products, services and brands, which aims to help link up searches with related concepts, for example a search for "pubs" will also look for "bars" and "taverns".
