The partnership will benefit Yell.com鈥檚 advertiser base by giving them exposure to Google鈥檚 search engine.
The deal will also give 130,000 unique advertisers and 2 million business listings on Yell.com access to the Google community.
Businesses without websites will also be found in relevant searches with results showing their contact details and listings.
The development marks the growing toward online advertising; in 2004 it accounted for 3.2% of the total media spend, the equivalent of 拢597m.
The move also signifies a growing belief that global search engines can provide relevant and targeted local results.
Yell.com was launched in 1996 and provides a local search engine and online advertising medium for UK businesses.

Yell.com has announced a partnership with the global search engine giant Google to provide business listings and content for its UK local classified offering.
