A Yahoo! box will appear at the top of each page of the website, enabling content searches within five.tv or from the wider internet.
The site will feature a Five-branded "Top Searches" box at the bottom of the homepage. It is aimed at providing a convenient way for users to access search results of popular consumer commercial search trends.
Laura Bowes, commercial development manager at Five, said: "Our aim is to ensure that five.tv supports our programming and provides an engaging online experience for our viewers, search is an essential part of that offering.
She added: "Our ultimate aim is to open up new revenue channels and further narrow the gap between online and TV."
