Yahoo! committed to video ad offering

Yahoo! has reaffirmed its commitment to pre- and post-roll video advertising as a major part of its commercial offering.

The portal will introduce interactive advertising formats to its website later this year or early next, but intends to keep an extensive inventory of pre- and post-roll ads, which, the company claims, is currently sold out.

Video is set to play a major role in Yahoo!'s short-term development, with the rollout of a video player to most sections of its websites currently under way.

Yahoo! last week announced a partnership with Rocket Science Laboratories, a production company that will provide video content for the portal.
