As part of the partnership, Xfm breakfast show presenter Alex Zane was asked to sit on the panel of jurors, who met on November 23 to cast their final votes for the nominees for next year’s award.
The five nominees will be announced on January 8 - with the winner voted by the public.
Xfm will also be running a competition to give one listener the chance to win a pair of tickets to the BAFTAs.
The Orange Rising Star Award, now in its third year, recognises actors who have recently broken into mainstream cinema.
James McAvoy received the award in its inaugural year followed by Eva Green in 2007.
