Import: Export will hit the airwaves on Friday April 30 and will be co-hosted by Xfm's Ian Camfield in London and Danni from the K-Rock New York studios.
Keeping with their reputation of breaking new music, every Friday evening at 9pm the hosts will share their hottest new releases, giving listeners in America and the UK the chance to hear tracks long before they have been released in their own countries.
Both DJs will present the top five 'Most Wanted' tracks from their respective countries, as well as sharing a round-up of all the latest music news from London and New York.
Xfm's programme controller, Andy Ashton, said: "This is an absolute radio first with two music giants on either side of the Atlantic getting together to deliver exclusives and introduce brand new bands to their respective audiences.
"We're smashing the old guard of radio first plays, with K-Rock bringing new music to the Xfm audience before other UK radio stations even get their promotional copies. Equally Xfm has a great track record for breaking new music on to other radio stations and into other markets."
Since the station's inception four years ago Xfm has attracted a cult following and has given bands such as The Libertines, Snow Patrol, Keane, The Vines, Franz Ferdinand, The Darkness and The Thrills their first airings, as well as a range of dance and hip-hop acts.
Camfield is currently presenter of Xfm's Music: Response show. He took over after Zane Low jumped ship to Radio 1's Evening Session last year.
In London, Xfm's reach has gone up 6% year on year. In the latest set of figures, its national reach stood at 614,000 and 514,000 in London, compared with last quarter's London figure of 502,000.
