Comedian Paul Tonkinson will host the Breakfast show, launching the station at 8am.
Joining Tonkinson will be Clint Boon from the Inspiral Carpets who will front Music:Response, Monday to Thursday, 7 to 10pm featuring live sessions and a listener-led chart countdown.
Ex Rock FM DJ Mark Kaye will host drivetime.
Former Hacienda DJ Dave Haslam will host Xfm's 'The Weekender' show on Friday nights playing new and classic indie.
Completing the line-up at the weekend are Elbow's front man Guy Garvey, Andy Rourke from The Smiths and ex-Hacienda owner Tony Wilson.
The station will reach 2.3 million listeners in Manchester and Greater Manchester targeting 15 to 40 year olds, a slightly wider audience in comparison to its sister station in London, which targets 15 to 34 year olds.
The ad policy will be similar to Xfm London's with about seven minutes of ads per hour. John McGeough, group sales director at GCap said that the company would be speaking to Xfm's current advertising and sponsorship partners and wanted to look for partners to run across the network.
"For flagship shows like breakfast and drivetime we are looking at an overall partner across the whole group," he said.
