Xbox to stage human billboard stunt for Tomb Raider launch

Xbox is celebrating the UK launch of Lara Croft game, Rise of The Tomb Raider by challenging eight fans to spend 24 hours on a billboard.

The stunt is taking place in London from 1pm today (12 November). It will be live-streamed on a dedicated microsite, and the public will be able to vote on which weather conditions the contestants will be subjected to during their time on the billboard.

Inspired by Tomb Raider’s Siberian setting, participants may be blasted by arctic cold, intense winds, wild snowstorms and sudden heat.

The last person standing will win a trip inspired by the gaming franchise. Microsoft received thousands of applicants for the event, while the eight chosen people consist of both survivalists and gaming fans from across the UK.

The live event will be delivered by Momentum Worldwide and M:united. The latter is working on the wider campaign in collaboration with McCann London, and Edelman is handling the consumer PR.

Look out for Event's video of the stunt later this week.
