WWAV takes over Freeserve direct mail operations

Freeserve, the Internet Service Provider, has signed an £8 million deal with WWAV Rapp Collins to handle all of its direct mail activity.

The group approached the ISP with an offer to develop an entire DM strategy after its subsidiary Zalpha was hired for ad hoc consultancy.

The brief is customer acquisition and retention, but is also likely to involve finding lapsed customers.

WWAV's group communications manager Robert Mayes said: "We are particularly proud of this win because it is group wide - involving Optima Direct, HLB and WWAV Rapp Collins Media."
