The Wall Street Journal Europe is boosting its recruitment advertising offering with the launch of CareerJournalEurope.com, an executive jobs site with a global focus.
The newspaper has also introduced a weekly pan-European career-news and features page.
Aimed at senior executives on a salary of more than pounds 80,000, the site will carry job ads for sales, marketing, general management, finance and technology roles. A 'Job of the day' will also be promoted on the site and on TV channel CNBC Europe.
The new page in the paper will have a regional focus, covering recruitment, pay issues and career guidance.
At present, 1,800 European users log on to the US version of the website every month. The Wall Street Journal Europe - which is owned by Dow Jones - is aiming to drive traffic to the site through promotions in the paper and on Dow Jones-owned CNBC, as well as through alliances with Yahoo! and Altavista.
'The aim is to increase the number of European jobs on the site and to build user levels,' said Karen Mullis, managing director of Dow Jones International in London. 'We can attract advertisers and jobseekers alike, by offering an executive career channel with a truly international perspective.'
According to Mullis, Wall Street Journal can offer senior-level recruitment ad-vertising, sponsorship and brand-building opportunities through a variety of regional, international, online and offline packages. Ads can be booked online or through the London sales office.
