WRG appoints global business director to newly created role

WRG has appointed Nicola Eyles to the role of global business director, a new position devised by the agency to fuel its growth and development on a global scale.

Eyles has more than 15 years' experience in international marketing, client handling and communication, nearly eight of which have been spent within the energy and maritime sectors.

Given her background, Eyles will be responsible for developing WRG's Shell account, working to strengthen its global presence within the energy sector.

She joins from JLA Media, a PR consultancy that works within the global maritime and energy industries. The new recruit has also worked across international markets, heading up the marketing and communications department at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) in China. 

Eyles said: "I’m thrilled to join WRG at such an exciting stage in the development of the business and on such a prestigious account.

"I hope that my industry knowledge will contribute another dimension to the capabilities of WRG, blending with the formidable skills of the existing team to evolve the service offering we can deliver to clients like Shell."

She continued: "For me it is all about understanding a client’s business, not only the way they do business themselves but also the way in which their clients and other stakeholders do. Gaining this insight allows the formation of truly effective communication strategies that add to the success of a business.
