It has appointed Jim Taylor, Mediaedge:cia'S communications planning director and retail director EMEA, to the position.
Reporting directly to Jonathan Dodd, G2's global director of strategy, Taylor will be responsible for G2's communications planning for key clients including Adobe, Coca-Cola, Heineken, Kodak, Kraft, Mars, Nokia, Pfizer, P&G and Volkswagen, across the G2 international network.
Taylor has worked in both the UK and South Africa, for Ogilvy & Mather and McCann Erickson. In 1998, whilst in South Africa, he co-founded Nota Bene, a strategic communications planning agency.
Most recently he was at Mediaedge:cia (MEC) where he established the agency's global planning process and set up its European division of their trade and shopper marketing specialism, MEC Retail.
Taylor has also published two books; Space Race and more recently Rigorous Magic, both on the topic of brand communications.
