Max Factor, the make-up brand owned by Procter & Gamble, has named Marilyn Monroe as its brand ambassador for 2015. The movie star, who died in 1962, will feature in global TV and print campaigns for the brand, beginning with "#GlamJan" – a push to get women extending the excesses of December into the new year. Authentic Brands Group owns Monroe’s image rights and her estate is reportedly worth £11 million a year. The link-up is rooted in Monroe’s history: she was a client of Max Factor when the brand’s eponymous founder had a beauty parlour in Hollywood in the 40s. Atelier, Leo Burnett’s luxury arm, is working with Max Factor on the campaign.
