Aegis is expanding its presence in Canada via the acquisition of Genesis Media, the country's leading independent media agency.
Aegis claimed the deal would give it a strong presence across the country's three main centres - Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Genesis will become part of the Vizeum network.
Founded in 1992, Genesis offers a diversified service that includes customer relationship marketing, digital, direct and data analytics.
Robert Lerwill, the Aegis chief executive, said: "Adding Genesis to our existing business will create a bigger and better proposition for domestic and international clients alike."
