The World: Seoul - WPP takes major stake in digital specialist Lee & Jang

Sir Martin Sorrell has bought his network's third agency in South Korea, the world's ninth-largest advertising market. Sorrell's WPP Group is taking a majority stake in the digital specialist Lee & Jang, which will become part of OgilvyOne Korea.

The agency, which specialises in web design and development, counts Daewoo, Samsung and Citibank among its clients.

Ken Mandel, the vice-president of digital at OgilvyOne Asia-Pacific, said: "In Korea, we see an increased demand from companies for digital marketing and search as well as a substantial need to revitalise their entire web presence with higher quality websites."
