The World: Paris - TBWA's Amnesty work snubbed by Chinese agencies

TBWA agencies in China have distanced themselves from an Amnesty International campaign created by the network's Paris agency, which attempts to depict how "the fight for human rights must go on" after the Beijng Olympics.

At the same time, the Amnesty global headquarters in London has disowned the series of print ads which won a bronze Lion at Cannes last month.

TBWA stressed it was a "non-political organisation" and that TBWA\China was "proud that Beijing is hosting the Olympic Games and remains committed to supporting its success".

Amnesty said that while its local offices were responsible for their own campaigns, it had not endorsed the French initiative.
