The World: New York - Y&R New York signs Diamond as managing partner

Young & Rubicam in New York has started to fill its management vacuum by appointing Shelley Diamond, one of its longest-serving executives, as managing partner.

Diamond, 50, the current head of account management, replaces Mary Maroun, who departed in April of last year to become the managing director of Arnold's New York office.

Hamish McLennan, Y&R's worldwide chief executive, has been looking to strengthen his senior team following the abrupt departure of his North American chief executive, Chris Jacques, in January.
