The World: New York - Wnek steps up to take on Lowe creative role

Mark Wnek has replaced Gary Goldsmith as the chairman and chief creative officer of Lowe New York. As part of changes to the senior management structure, Susan Canter has been promoted from president to chief operating officer.

Following a stint as the chief creative officer for Euro RSCG London, Wnek founded Ben Mark Orlando in 2004 with the former McCann Erickson chief executive Ben Langdon. However, after just ten weeks, Langdon took Wnek's vacated position at Euro RSCG.

Wnek was most recently a columnist for The Independent.

The move comes as Tony Wright, the Lowe global chief executive, attempts to shore up the network, which has recently lost global accounts including Braun and HSBC.
