The World: New York - Mediaedge:cia lands $3.4bn AT&T media

AT&T, the US telecoms giant, has consolidated its entire $3.4 billion media planning and buying account into WPP's Mediaedge:cia.

The new arrangement follows a review that began in August, and ends the current system under which AT&T's media assignments were shared between Omnicom's OMD and GSD&M and Publicis Groupe's Digitas.

Wendy Clark, AT&T's vice-president of advertising, said that MEC's record on Cingular Wireless over the past three years had greatly helped its case.
