The World: New York - Hearst Corporation moots US men's weekly title

The US publisher the Hearst Corporation is contemplating launching a men's weekly title, inspired by the success of Nuts and Zoo in the UK.

If launched, the magazine - like its British counterparts - would create a new category in the US market. It is believed the title's editor will be the former Maxim editor Keith Blanchard, but no appointment has yet been made.

The Hearst Corporation is looking to create a circulation model that will work within the US market. Nuts and Zoo sell most of their copies through the newsstand, but the US magazine market is predominantly subscription-driven.
