The World: New York - BBH wields the axe in NYC as client fees decline

Bartle Bogle Hegarty has laid off 7 per cent of the staff at its New York office, due to a reduction in client fees and new business.

The cutback affects 12 employees, including Robert Rasmussen, the agency's executive creative director of innovation.

The redundancies, which will affect several departments, come four months after the agency lost the Miller Lite creative account to DraftFCB.

Earlier this summer, BBH made 10 per cent of its staff, around 40 people, redundant at its London office.
