The World: New York - Bayer puts planning and buying brief into review

Bayer Healthcare, a subsidiary of the German giant Bayer AG, is putting the $200 million media planning and buying account for its consumer care division into review.

The business, which includes brands such as Alka-Seltzer, Aleve and One-A-Day vitamins, is currently split between Initiative New York, which handles media buying, and OMD Chicago, which handles the planning.

It is not yet clear if the incumbent agencies will be asked to repitch.

The review is being handled by Jane Twyon of Jane Twyon Inc.
