The World: Mumbai - Conde Nast to launch Indian edition of GQ this year

GQ, Conde Nast's upmarket men's magazine, will launch an Indian edition later this year. The move follows the group's launch of Vogue into the country in September last year.

Nicholas Coleridge, the vice-president of Conde Nast International, said: "Indian Vogue rapidly dominated the women's magazine market, far surpassing expectations in circulation and advertising. It's given us the confidence to start a second title."

GQ India will carry a combination of Indian and international content. Alex Kuruvilla, the managing director of Conde Nast India, said: "We have been inundated by requests from advertisers to launch GQ in India."
