The World: The Hague - WPP Team Media for Shell wins $240m global Shell

Shell Oil has awarded its $240 million media account to a team made up of executives from the WPP Group M agencies MediaCom and Maxus, following a four-way pitch against the incumbent Initiative, Carat and Starcom.

The combined group will be called Team Media for Shell and will handle planning and buying for Shell's global retail and lubricants businesses, as well as its corporate and recruitment advertising. The account will be run from MediaCom's UK offices.
