The World: Cannes - Organisers announce restructure of Cannes Festival

The organisers of the Cannes International Advertising Festival have announced structural changes to the awards. The press and outdoor categories will, in future, each have their own jury; in the past, one jury has presided over both categories.

Terry Savage, the executive chairman of the festival, said: "This will mean a clearer judging of the entries based on the merit of their medium, without being influenced by how they performed if entered in both categories."

It has also been announced that the preliminary pre-Cannes "judging at home" round of the Lions Direct competition will be abolished and all submissions will be judged in Cannes by an increased jury of 30 members.
