The World: Beijing - Olympics prompts prime billboard crackdown

Local regulators have launched a crackdown on the quality of the prime billboard spots in Beijing, in a bid to spruce up the city ahead of next year's Olympic Games. Nestle, Hitachi, JVC and Apple are among the clients believed to be affected by this crackdown. With pre-paid commitments for up to three years common among outdoor vendors, a number of clients are also scrambling to recoup lost spend.
