THE LOWDOWN
Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney's new work for Toyota involves two choreographed dancers moving in perfect unison to demonstrate the benefits of the car-maker's Hybrid Synergy Drive engines.
Shot in a single take, the commercial shows two men reading a newspaper and working at their desk as though they are joined together. With four hands instead of two, their movements are far more efficient than if both men were moving individually.
The ad aims to demonstrate the concept that electric and petrol engines work "better together" inside Toyota's HSD engines.
The spot required two weeks of choreography practice before the dancers were ready to film their routine in one take without the need for any post-production.

THE LOWDOWN
A bar undergoes several generational transformations in Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO's first work for Tusker lager, after it won the account in July.
In a bid to demonstrate that Tusker has been a part of Kenya since the 20s, the bar's decor and inhabitants adapt from a genteel wine bar into a rocking contemporary nightclub.
The 60-second spot, called "refresh your roots", aims to rejuvenate the brand while keeping the inspiration of the past.
The ad will air on TV channels in African countries including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.

THE LOWDOWN
Olympic-themed stop-motion animation forms the basis of this latest work for the International Olympic Committee by Cole & Weber United.
The 30-second spot shows hundreds of individual paper collages, each hand-cut and torn, filmed in one continuous shot.
The key elements of the Olympics are shown through images of the Olympic torch, medallists on a podium and a world map shown in a variety of shapes and colours.
Cole & Weber's work aims to communicate the over-riding message of the Olympics - that it's a celebration for everyone.

THE LOWDOWN
A drop of water endures a harrowing journey to make it into a pint of Bavaria beer in this new work from Selmore.
Emerging from an icicle, the droplet faces many dangers, including a waterfall, spider and rainstorm, in a desperate bid to make it into the Bavaria brewery.
However, at the last minute, just before it can land in the pint glass, the barman flicks it into the air and into the mouth of the establishment's dog.
The 60-second spot, "the drop", aims to highlight the fact that Bavaria premium pilsner is the only beer in Holland to be brewed with pure mineral water.
