The name change comes as Wise & Loveys, which launched in 1996 as an electronic publisher, restructures its business. It is folding its electronic publishing business to concentrate fully on its online list management service, which was launched in 1998.
Director Chris Loveys, said: "Marketingfile.com has become such a success that our revenues from the website vastly exceed all our other income, enabling us to stop doing development work for other people and to concentrate 100% of our efforts on Marketingfile.com."
The company's first list management service was initially launched as Mailing-Labels.com, with just four databases, before being relaunched in June 2000 under the Marketingfile.com.
The company now manages more than 150 databases from 35 list-owners. Loveys described the move as "very important" for the company.
"Four years ago we were a small software house developing elecronic publishing solutions for publishers when we spotted the opportunity of selling direct marketing data online. We are now the largest online list service in the country representing some 35 list-owners and with more than 40,000 registered users," Loveys said.
