The Vestas sponsorship will highlight the issues facing the world's energy supply and the importance of modern energy sources. In print, Vestas will be the sole sponsor of two, 16-page special reports on Davos and will have major participation in 'The World in 2008' special report. Online, Vestas will sponsor the exclusive video and audio coverage produced by senior FT journalists reporting from the event via the dedicated www.ft.com/davos channel.
"Future energy resources and the environment will once again be major issues at this year's Davos event," said Peter Kruse, senior vice president, Vestas. "Davos is an excellent opportunity for Vestas to raise the audience's awareness of wind power as modern energy. We've worked with the FT to design a package with the purpose of bringing the attention of global business and political decision makers to the advantages offered by wind power, a competitive, predictable, independent and clean energy source with a fast ramp-up."
FT.com's dedicated Davos channel will include exclusive comment and blogs from FT writers, live news feeds and analysis, daily live video content from the event, audio roundtable debates and corporate guest delegate bloggers including Kris Gopalakrishnan, CEO of Infosys, Stephen Roach, chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia, and Douglas Alexander, UK minister for international development
