The Wind in the Willows takes a dark turn in this trailer for the classic children's novel.
The story was adapted for a campaign from The Wildlife Trusts, which seeks to build support for stronger environmental laws that would help nature recover from the wildlife decline of recent decades. Sir David Attenborough, Stephen Fry, Catherine Tate, Alison Steadman and Asim Chaudhry are backing the campaign. In the stop-motion animation, the characters Badger, Ratty, Mole and Toad face modern threats such as bulldozers, pollution and intensive agriculture, which destroy or break up their homes. The work was created by Rick Dodds, Alice Dowdall and George McCallum, and directed by Matthew Day and Thomas O’Meara through Rowdy.
