White Light wins contract for new Wizard of Oz production

Event supplier White Light has won the contract to provide the lighting for the new Andrew Lloyd Webber production of the Wizard of Oz that starts at the London Palladium from 1 March.

Utilising White Light's equipment the revered lighting director Hugh Vanstone will be making use of a selection of moving lights from manufacturers such as Martin, Clay Paky and Coemar.

As well as the lighting, White Light haqs also been helping the show's video designer Jon Driscoll by creating a low-temperature light for the substage video booth in which Michael Crawford parts for his role in the production.

The Wizard of Oz is the latest West End production that White Light has been asked to provide its services for. Others have included Billy Elliot, Dirty Dancing and We Will Rock You.
