Whitbread calls creative review

Whitbread Restaurants is reviewing creative across its portfolio of eateries, including Beefeater, Table Table, Tay-barns and Brewers Fayre.

The review is being run through the AAR and the appointed agency will be responsible for advertising and brand positioning across the restaurant chains as Whitbread looks to build the use of brand and tactical advertising behind its restaurants.

CheethamBell JWT has been the incumbent on the business since 2008.

Whitbread is focusing on its restaurant brands following the appointment of David Murdin as the brand marketing director for Whitbread Restaurants. Murdin was previously the marketing director for Sky Sports and Sky News and joined Whitbread in January 2011 

Ad agency arrangements for Premier Inn and Whitbread-owned coffee chain Costa Coffee will not be affected. The creative accounts are handled by Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and Meteorite respectively.
