Western Wines hands £2m task to MediaCom

LONDON - MediaCom has won the £2m media account for Western Wines, following a competitive pitch.

Western Wines sources 400 wines from around the world and is the company behind the South African Kumala and the Chilean Cono Sur brands. Kumala is the biggest-selling South African range and is one of the top 10 wine brands in the UK.

Paul Sullivan, senior brand manager at Western Wines, said: "The reason we chose MediaCom is that they stood head and shoulders above the rest when it came to understanding our brands. All of the agencies involved were equally competent when it came to planning and buying but the difference with MediaCom is that they had the support system to back it up."

MediaCom take on the Western Wine account with immediate effect, with media activity for Kumala planned for early spring.
