In his new role Gibb will be responsible for driving commercial growth and sponsorship across the Wembley City estate which includes the venue Wembley Arena and Wembley Way, which leads up to the football stadium.

As head of commercial Gibb will look after all advertising and sponsorship across Wembley City and will be in charge of developing relationships with agencies and brand managers.

Gibb said: "Marketing is changing dramatically. Major brands want to engage quickly and cost-effectively with targeted demographic groups, and consumers are becoming more resistant to traditional marketing methods.

"Wembley City offers the space to create innovative experiential marketing events that reach up to 90,000 people at one time."

Gibb has over 20 years of media experience and was ad manager at Quantum Business Media before becoming group commercial manager at United Business Media.

The 87-acre Wembley City is owned by property investment company Quintain Estates and includes Wembley Arena, a Hilton hotel, two blocks of apartments, car parks, all the land around the Wembley Stadium, retail parks and further development land.

Garner left Wembley City in February to join Alexandra Palace as head of events and leisure.
