Welham promoted at Telegraph weekend magazines

LONDON - The Telegraph Group has promoted Vanessa Welham to the number two advertising sales position on its Saturday and Sunday magazines.

As agency group head, she will report to magazine advertisement manager Rachael Drew.

Welham, 28, was previously magazine development manager. From this week, she will lead the magazines' agency sales efforts. In addition, she will develop the Telegraph's successful fashion supplements, which are published every March and September, and its luxury goods supplement, published in November.

She will also work closely with the Telegraph Group commercial development team to identify wider solutions for advertisers and agencies, using the full variety of Telegraph resources in addition to display page sales.

Welham joined the Telegraph Group in October 2000 from IPC, where she worked on Loaded and Later.

Prior to IPC, Welham worked at Conde Nast on GQ classified for two years.
