Five snatched the rights to the Aussie soap from the BBC last May, paying a reported £300m in a 10-year deal.
Weight Watchers marketing director Lindsay Reisser-Weston said that further details of the sponsorship would be revealed nearer the launch of the show on Five.
The deal was negotiated between OMD UK and Five, despite the fact that the Weight Watchers account is still being handled by Carat until OMD takes over on 7 March.
Carat lost the Weight Watchers account to OMD UK in December 2007, but as Aegis, its parent company, has recently been embroiled in a trading stand-off with Five, the deal was conducted between OMD and Five directly.
One agency's head of broadcast said: "Carat lost the business recently, but is working out its notice period. Technically, Weight Watchers is still a Carat client, but it's not Carat doing the negotiations."
Both Five and OPera, the media investment arm of the Omnicom Media Group, declined to comment as Media Week went to press.
