Weekender: Mr Kipling, Laurent-Perrier and Thorpe Park's Fright Nights

This weekend sees Mr Kipling take its Fabulous Fancy cake to Manchester, Laurent-Perrier deliver a food tour of north London, and Thorpe Park unveil a Halloween-themed Fright Nights experience.

Baked goods brand Mr Kipling is taking an oversized version of its new Fabulous Fancy cake product, which has already visited Westfield London, to Manchester this weekend.

Those who capture a photograph of the cake and post it to Twitter with the hashtag #FabulouslyFancy will receive one of three prizes, including a year's supply of Mr Kipling product, which will be released via the cake’s automatic dispenser.

Laurent-Perrier’s first Gourmet Odyssey tour will take place as part of the month-long London Restaurant Festival this weekend. The first of the three tours will set it sights on north London, offering guests the chance to enjoy dishes from three of the area’s top restaurants, with each to be paired with a Laurent-Perrier champagne.

The brand’s Discover east and Discover west tours are scheduled to take place later in the month.

Merlin Entertainments' Thorpe Park will host a number of Fright Nights in the lead up to Halloween.

Central to the experience will be The Container, which plays on the UK’s biggest fears and includes a real-life caricature of Katie Hopkins. The new scare maze, The Big Top will also feature the Figaro Bros. Characters, meanwhile the theme park has partnered with Lionsgate UK to offer ticketholders four movie-themed maze experiences.

Those who head to W London – Leicester Square will be transported to Amsterdam, the location of the newest W property. The central London hotel has transformed its public spaces to include the Dutch capital’s iconic canals, bicycles and windmills, meanwhile one-off food and cocktail menus have been created for the occasion.

Women’s magazine, You has devised the Big Beauty Weekend in partnership with Estée Lauder, in support of breast cancer awareness month. Clinique, Bobbi Brown, DKNY, Michael Kors and Estée Lauder will be among the brands activating, with many to host pop-ups, beauty focused seminars and masterclasses.

The event will also see actress Elizabeth Hurley, the global ambassador of the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness ±±¾©Èü³µpk10, take part in a session with You’s editor, Sue Pert.
