The Week: People News - Sorrell considers HQ move

Sir Martin Sorrell has repeated his statement that WPP Group could relocate its headquarters outside of Britain because of growing concerns over the UK corporate taxation system.

Sorrell, the chief executive of WPP, told The Sunday Times that despite the public relations issue that would surround a move out of the country, WPP would favour the option if it was deemed good for business. The news follows Regus Group's decision to quit the UK for Luxembourg, while the asset management company Henderson and the engineering group Charter have also announced plans to relocate their headquarters to Ireland.
