Colin Sharman, the chairman of Aegis, is set to retire on 17 July and will be replaced by John Napier, the former chief executive of the recruitment company Hays. Since leaving Hays in 1998, Napier has taken on a number of chairmanships, including that of the Royal Sun Alliance Group.
