The Week: People News - MacKenzie lambasts Parry

Kelvin MacKenzie, the former editor of The Sun, has hit out at the recent appointment of Roger Parry as the executive chairman of the marketing services group Media Square.

MacKenzie, a former non-executive chairman of Media Square, and current shareholder of about 1 per cent of the business, wrote to the company last week claiming that Parry has too many other commitments. He demanded that Parry step down, resign his other business positions or appoint a full-time chief executive. Parry replied by saying that a number of his other positions were non-executive roles. He also went on to accuse MacKenzie of making his comments as a "publicity stunt".
