The Week: People news - BBC hit over stars' wages

The BBC has come under fire from the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee for refusing to disclose salary details of its radio presenters.

MPs are concerned that the BBC is paying its stars twice the amount paid by commercial stations, singling out Terry Wogan's breakfast show on BBC Radio 2 in the Committee report. Rumours suggest the BBC is paying Wogan £800,000 to present the show.
