The Week: Media news - WSJ revamps management

Robert Thomson, the managing editor of The Wall Street Journal, has made a number of changes to its management structure.

The moves follow a comment from the newspaper's owner, Rupert Murdoch, that its editorial structure meant that every story went through 8.3 editors.

Matt Murray, the general news editor will become the national editor; Nikil Deogun, the money and investing section editor, will become international editor, and Mike Williams, the page one editor, broadens his duties to investigative reporting.
