The Week: Media news - NI accused over ad sales

News International may face an investigation by the Office of Fair Trading over claims it is conditionally selling ad space across its newspaper brands.

The IPA's legal department has been contacted by at least one media agency claiming News International is conditionally selling across its titles, which include The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun and thelondonpaper. Conditional selling occurs when a publisher will only accept advertising in one newspaper if ads are also taken in sister publications.
