The Local Radio Company has signed a three-year licensing deal with Guardian Media Group to broadcast Jazz FM on DAB from the end of September.
The station has been off air since it was rebranded as Smooth Radio in 2005. The plans were announced with TRLC's first-half results to 31 March, which saw it cut losses to £528,000 from £9.49 million for the same period last year.
