The Week: Media news - IPC to launch NME Radio

IPC is to launch NME Radio in mid-2008 in partnership with DX Media, the business run by Sammy Jacob, the founder of Xfm.

The new station will broadcast 24 hours a day, and will play alternative music, as well as focusing on creating content that can be accessed via a variety of new media channels. IPC, which announced the launch of NME TV last week, is also aiming to secure national distribution for the station.
