The Week: Media news - Five reinvents on-air idents

Five is to relaunch its on-air identity, and is changing how it runs idents around ad breaks and programmes.

The new identity, which has been created by dixonbaxi and will launch on 6 October, includes a new logo in capital letters using a variety of colours and a new typeface. The channel will also run two promotional spots between programmes instead of one, split into "brand" and "content" bursts, the latter of which will be related to TV shows but not necessarily use content from them.
